I'm Marcos Grandesso, a software developer since 2022, currently working at the Brazilian startup Buser. I'm living in Algarve, Portugal, working remotely and studying Systems Engineering at the University of Algarve.

I love building things and I'm always looking for new challenges. I'm passionate about learning new technologies and constantly improving my skills.

EXPERIENCES

  • Software developer at Buser

    As a software developer in a company with over 10 million users, I worked on core projects that directly impact our user base, contributing to both front-end and back-end development. One of my main achievements was integrating a payment system that processes over 20 million BRL every semester. I also developed a mechanism to recover users who experienced payment issues, recovering around 80,000 BRL per month. Additionally, I implemented a solution to handle payment errors individually, allowing users to continue their purchases even if one transaction failed — which led to a 1% increase in conversion rates. I actively worked on resolving technical debt, such as eliminating N+1 queries and refactoring legacy code, and I created an automatic reimbursement system for trips with issues, significantly reducing the workload for our support team. These are just a few examples of the many impactful features and projects I’ve contributed to.
